Creation vs. Evolution

When a judge or jury hears a case, they first hear and then weigh all the KNOWN evidence. Then, they HAVE to make a decision of innocence or guilt. They are mandated to convict or acquit, with the accused's future in their hands.

When we hear the know evidence in the creation vs. evolution debate; we like a judge, must make a decision and render a verdict in our hearts and minds. At first glance, it appears we have a luxury of time to make up our minds. After all, no one's future is resting on our verdict. But in fact, an immediate decision is required because the actual case is: Is the Bible reallly true? Our eternal future requires us to believe in the promise laid out in the Bible, that God gives eternal life only through faith in the cross. But, if God lied in teh Bibler about creation, then He may have lied about the cross.

In both the courtroom and in the creation vs. evolution debate, we have to make our decision with the evidence presented. We don't have the luxury of not deciding. The stakes are incredibly high but we must render a verdict with the evidence presented as soon as possible. Someone's future - our future - is in the balance.

What verdict would you render?
